Versatile
The 200CR can accurately measure all conductivity/resistivity requirements in a broad range of applications. With a wide measurement range, NIST traceable calibration,
multiple control capabilities and high accuracy, the 200CR is ideal for several diverse applications, including
- Pure water treatment for ultrapure semiconductor rinsing, critical power/steam makeup and pharmaceutical waters requires accurate, reliable monitoring of purification steps as well as the final product quality. The 200CR provides efficient two-channel monitoring of reverse osmosis (with % rejection computation), deionization and distillation stages, assuring in-spec operation throughout the system.
- Semiconductor processing in rinsers and wet benches relies on precise resistivity alarming at ultrapure 18 Mohm-cm levels. Highest measurement accuracy and world-recognized Thornton-Light temperature compensation assure consistent water and product quality.
- Power cycle chemistry monitoring requires specialized temperature compensation for cation conductivity and ammonia/amine treated specific conductivity measurements. Thornton's sophisticated compensation algorithms have proven themselves superior by a wide margin, fully accounting for the changing ionization of water as it is affected by acidic cation conductivity samples or alkaline treatment chemicals.
- Pharmaceutical water monitoring to meet USP23 requires accurate, validated, non-temperature compensated conductivity measurement plus the temperature value. Compensated values can also be displayed with the 200CR. In addition, USP setpoints are standard which track the internal USP table of conductivity limits vs. temperature, with a setting of % safety margin within those limits.
Easy-to-Use
Even with its extraordinary features and versatility, the 200CR remains easy to operate. Its user-friendly design includes; sensor cable length up to 200 ft. for freedom in system design,
multiple outputs for versatility and redundancy, four assignable setpoints for 2 or 4 relays for multiple high or low alarms or discrete control, and two 4-20mA analog outputs that are isolated
and scalable by the user.
Calibration
Thornton calibrators perform a meter calibration without removing the instrument from the installation and without any additional equipment. The complete calibration process takes only a
few minutes with minimal operator involvement. The accuracy of Thornton Calibrators can be traced to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) standards. A simple test and
verification procedure can be performed periodically to verify that each calibrator has maintained its accuracy.
